    I don't understand why none of the coverage of the new COVID variant mentions long COVID. Every time a person gets COVID, they are at risk of developing long COVID. If they already have it, they are at risk of getting worse. The dangers of a new COVID variant are entirely understated in any article that does not mention long COVID, a debilitating, life-ruining chronic illness for which there is no cure. About 400M people globally have long COVID, but it continues to be ignored. Why?
